Thriving Communities

After developing a new strategic direction for the Municipal Insurance Association of BC (MIABC), the leadership felt their identity no longer reflected their organization and focus. They needed a rebrand. Inspired by the MIABC's mandate to support thriving communities, we turned to trees as the inspiration for the rebrand. A symbol of literal growth, offering shelter and a place to gather, an illustrated, flourishing tree became the icon for the association.

Commemorating the rebrand while telling the MIABC’s story, we developed a printed keepsake reminiscent of a community newspaper. To guide visitors and help them find their way, we applied the identity to building and exterior wayfinding signage.

Within the office interior, we developed exhibition-style environmental graphics applied throughout the space. Creating a dynamic experience, dimensional signage elements were added to feature the MIABC’s milestones, mission, and vision. We also applied the look and feel to the website and developed a stationery package, and comprehensive brand standards.
